Project UnderMask consists of regular women, amateur and professional models who wear masks to hide their identities for nude, boudoir, bdsm and erotic photography. A lot of women want to do these kinds of photos, but fear of family, society or workplace reaction are the reason most of them don’t do it. With a mask, they can freely do it without fear of criticism or judgement.
Oscar Wilde said, “Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth”. This is very accurate. We limit our self on things we want to do because we are afraid of being judged. The women who participates in this project want to be free and express their inner feelings, but they cant expose themselves because each one of them has their own reasons.
We know there are thousands of websites who have a big catalog of girls with so much explicit content than this project provide. The majority of them are free so you don’t have to pay a single cent. But this project in particular is special. These are regular girls who were brave enough to do this knowing they can have problems with their family, friends, at work, etc, if they find out they participated in this project. They are not actresses or involved in the porn industry, or similar. These are truly amateur girls who are doing these photos for the first time.
The project started in the Dominican Republic. A very conservative country that condemns this kind of art. It’s not illegal, but since it’s a very religious country they see this photos as something evil. Obviously we don’t think that way. For us, nudity is art. The naked body is art and is so natural that the best example of such nature is that we come to this world naked.
Right now the project is available in Dominican Republic and New York (United States). Depending on the success, our goal is to make this project available in other other states and/or countries.
